Yossi Schori
I create images using toys: soft stuffed animals & plush toys, wooden toys, figurines, antique and vintage toys & dolls, in my home or outdoors using creative sets.
I edit my images in Lightroom and Photoshop using layers of photos and occasionally also a combination of digital drawings.
Influenced by animation, surrealism, fine art photographers, and “Toy Photography”.
Toys and dolls are a fun game. They are a showcase that reflects the social and cultural environment in which we are. Through them a gate was opened to the world of my imagination, fantasies, passions and dreams.
In 1993, I took some shots of toys as a fine art student at “Kalisher” school of art in Tel-Aviv.
After art school studies, I took a break from creating fine art.
2020 was the year of the Covid-19 pandemic. My love and passion with toys has never gone away. I started shooting toys and objects with my iPhone and Canon 80D, and I am not going to stop. My artworks are wonderful way to express my journey of life, having fun with playing, diving into my complexity of my world.
